Technical Engineering Group was contracted by GECAS to produce parts for an AOG aircraft in Indonesia. There are considerable costs associated with having an aircraft on the ground (AOG) as a result of parts shortage. Time is of the essence. Instructions were received from GECAS on Wed 26th January at 3.10pm. The parts were machined, subjected to penetrant inspection, anodized and primed in rapid succession. Following quality inspection the parts and associated documentation were shipped to Jakarta on Saturday 29th January at 8.55am.
This is a good example of the fast response and flexibility that airlines and leasing companies can expect from Technical Engineering Group.
