Deal secures Electro-mec’s pharmaceutical division

The Technical Engineering Group has announced the acquisition of the pharmaceutical division of Electro-mec in the UK.

This entity will be merged with the group’s TechnicalPharma division in Ireland, France and Germany.

Electro-mec is a leading name in blister machine tooling, EMF and NG type feeders and precision machining. Under the deal, the Technical Engineering Group has exclusive rights to all the pharmaceuticals-related interests of Electro-mec.

Pharmaceutical customers will be confident of TechnicalPharma’s ability to service locations throughout Europe as a result of this acquisition.

Ron Garwood, who was the designer of Electro-mec’s EMF range of feeders, has joined TechnicalPharma as a consultant, bringing years of experience of tablet feeding systems.
