Dr Jim Hoey
Chairman
Jim Hoey was appointed Chairman of the Technical Engineering Group in 2004. Prior to joining the Group he held senior executive positions in CR Bard, Tarkett and more recently Masonite where he was responsible for the EMEA Operations.
Dr Hoey has a PhD in Organic Chemistry from University College Dublin and a Masters Degree in Organisational Behaviour from Trinity College Dublin.
Dr Hoey was a member of the expert team which prepared the Irish Government’s Enterprise Strategy Group Report in 2005 at the request of the Tánaiste (Deputy Prime Minister), Mary Harney. This report outlined government strategy for the economic development of Ireland over the next two decades.

John Hunt
Managing Director
John Hunt joined the Technical Engineering Group in 2003 as Managing Director. He has extensive manufacturing experience, having worked for a major global material composite manufacturer for 13 years.
For the six years prior to joining the Technical Engineering Group he was Managing Director with responsibility for its European business.
John holds a degree in chemical engineering from University College Dublin. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, having qualified with KPMG Dublin.

Tommy Kelly
Sales Director
Tommy Kelly was appointed to the board of the Technical Engineering Group in 2001. Prior to joining the group he worked with specialist engineering services companies in Ireland and Switzerland, always with a focus on the heavily regulated pharmaceutical industry.
Tommy qualified as a toolmaker from Sligo Institute of Technology and subsequently took several specialist courses in quality, sales management and design.
